The 58-year-old South Californian woman, Darlene Flynn, with a Guinness World Record for collecting maximum number of shoe-related items, was found dead in the pool of her Menifee home.
Autopsy report revealed blunt-force injuries on her skull.
Police has nabbed her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend on suspicion of murder.
A sheriff patrolling the area saw her dead corpse lying on the pool and a shirtless man trout out of the scene.
Justin Smith was later arrested near a highway.
Friends have revealed that the couple frequently fought and had recently split.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Flynn owned nearly 15,000 shoe-related items, comprising of shoe-shaped furniture, lamps and jewelry as well.
