Poco X8 Pro Max 5G was introduced in India on Tuesday by the Xiaomi sub-brand, alongside the Poco X8 Pro 5G and the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition. These new Poco X series smartphones will be sold in the country through an online shopping site. Both devices come with dual rear cameras, featuring a main camera of 50 megapixels. The two models also offer 100W super fast charging. The Poco X8 Pro 5G has a battery of 6,500mAh, while the Pro Max version has a larger 9,000mAh battery. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is also driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series processor. In India, the starting price for the Poco X8 Pro 5G is Rs. 32,999 for the entry-level version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the highest configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs Rs. 35,999. The Poco X8 Pro 5G Iron Man Edition is priced at Rs. 37,999 for the single version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In contrast, the starting price for the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G in India is Rs. 42,999 for the 12GB of RAM and 256GB option. Lastly, the highest package with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at Rs. 46,999. The company is also providing discounts of up to Rs. 3,000 for purchases made using HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI cards.

The new phones will be available starting March 23 at 12 pm IST on Flipkart. The Poco X8 Pro 5G comes in Black, Green, and White colors, while the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is available in Black, Blue, and White. Both the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and Poco X8 Pro 5G are dual SIM smartphones that operate on Xiaomi's Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, which includes a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro 5G has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display while maintaining the same peak refresh rate and resolution. The company states that both phones have IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is powered by a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, features 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, and has up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. For managing heat, the phone uses a Poco 3D Ice Loop cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 5,800 square mm.

On another note, the Poco X8 Pro 5G comes with a powerful 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip. It also has as much as 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of fast UFS 4.1 internal storage. To keep temperatures in check during heavy use, this phone includes the same cooling system as the Pro Max version, featuring a 5,300 square millimeter area for heat removal. Additionally, the Pro Max model includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for added security. In terms of cameras, the Poco X8 Pro series offers two rear camera setups within pill-shaped modules. Both devices have a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera that provides a 120-degree view. For selfies and video calls, the Poco X8 Pro series is equipped with a 20-megapixel front camera. These smartphones can also capture videos in 4K at 60 frames per second.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G features a massive 9,000mAh battery, whereas the Poco X8 Pro 5G is powered by a 6,500mAh battery. Both Poco devices support 100W fast charging through wired connections and 27W wired reverse charging. According to the company, the Pro Max version can last over three days on a single charge with moderate use, more than 18 days on standby, or approximately 30 hours of streaming online videos.
